The one where we had MISSION CONFERENCE

What is up everyone! Elder Hayes here still alive and breathing! Texas is doing great as well. Anyway, as my title says we had a mission conference this week which was so good! Let's go through the week and I'll get to the details on it!

Tuesday was good! We helped pick up leaves again and Hermana Vasquez's house! She is so sweet and she made us hot chocolate yay!! 

I can't remember if I said this but Elder Vickers and I were asked to be the Zone Facebook Specialists for the Spanish Page! It's been super fun so far! We made a posting schedule for the district and are doing our best to get out there! If you guys want to go support the page it's called Seguidores de Jesucristo en Fort Worth!! And we had a funny experience where someone messaged the page wanting us to pray with them and so we set up a time to call! We call her and she turns out to be a member I was a little disappointed but I mean she was less active so we invited her to church haha. I'll take what I can get. And then we had a lesson with Evelia and she is doing awesome! We talked about Baptism and she isn't sure yet. She knows it's a serious commitment so she wants to make sure she understands what she has to do and if it's something she wants which is totally understandable!! We are excited to keep going with her!:)

On Wednesday was the first day of the mission conference! It was all over zoom, but it was really really good Elder Teh a member of the Seventy is the one who spoke to us! It went three days, a session on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They were all incredible! I'll share some things that stuck out to me from it.

1. What is your favorite sin? I thought that was really interesting! He asked us about that and told us to choose now to stop it! It was really powerful!

2. Charity. It was emphasized so much and for good reason!

3. Commitment. Being a disciple of Christ is a commitment and we have to hold ourselves to that higher standard!

Those were a few things I got from it but it was so good:)

We had a lesson with Rangel a new person from the Facebook page and we taught him how to Pray! It was pretty good and we hope he keeps talking to us!!

I had a prompting to call this lady named Yissela who I was considering dropping and she answered! She said her brother was in Mexico and struggling and asked if we'd pray for him so I said a prayer for him over the phone right there:) she was grateful and we set up another time to call her on Saturday! So we called her on Saturday and shared a scripture from the Book of Mormon! She loved it and we asked if we could bring her a free copy and she said yes! So heck yeah we are doing that. 

Also on Friday, we went to the Dog Shelter again which was a joy hahaha I'm now a pro at cutting up cat food into cubes so let's go.

Also, the message from the prophet was awesome:) so inspiring! We are so lucky️

On Saturday I was on exchange with Elder Southam and he is pretty new to the mission but doing really well! It was lots of fun:) we went to a music practice in Arlington and that was fun! We are going to record it on Wednesday so yay!! We are doing Away in a Manger!

Sunday was pretty good! The Elders in my district finally got a lady to church that they had been trying to get for a while so that's super exciting. Especially because she loved it!️
